Factors to Consider before Beginning an E-learning Project Management
If you think e-learning is going to work for your corporation, there are some specific considerations that you need to keep in mind before purchasing a corporate training program or carrying out elearning project management.
What is the desired outcome of the training program and what technology and software will help you to best realize that outcome?
How will your employees' best absorb the material? Can all of the instruction be computer based or do you want to mix lecture and hands-on courses with self-paced network based materials?
Will the materials be available constantly or on a limited basis with a set completion time? Will you put in place a graduated completion schedule or curriculum for your employees?
Where will the learning take place? In a special learning center or may employees access and work with materials from their desks?
What will be your strategy for upgrading your training materials in the face of new industry developments?

It is also to spend some time considering who will be in charge of the training program. You will want one person who completely understands any software and hardware involved who can address issues both mechanical and perceptual. There will always be that one employee who simply will not be able to get the hang of the system. Who will answer that person's questions? And who will troubleshoot the inevitable “glitches” that will arise? While you may want to carefully monitor the progress of the training program, chances are good you do not have the time to completely supervise it yourself.
By taking these questions into consideration, you can make sure you get the best corporate training software to meet your corporation's individual needs. By considering e-learning as a way to bring training to your employees, you can save time and money in the long run. E-learning as corporate training is one of the most time efficient, cost efficient, and effective ways to train a large or small workforce.
